Our full-time dentists all live in Camarillo and are members of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Ventura County Dental Association.
Dr. Bob Sprague
Dr. Robert Sprague was raised in Camarillo and attended Camarillo high school. He attended California Lutheran University and from there went to University of the Pacific Dental School to earn a DDS. He started with Rosewood Dental group as an associate in 1980, and became a partner in 1990. Dr. Sprague has volunteered at Ventura Juvenile Justice center, the Rain homeless shelter and CDA cares events. He enjoys the outdoors, especially fishing and skiing. He has had advanced training in restoring implant restorations. He is married to Michele and together they have 4 grown children.
Dr. Scott Packham
Dr. Scott Packham was also raised here in Camarillo and graduated from Camarillo High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at UC Santa Barbara and earned his dental degree at UCLA. Dr. Packham then served six years as a dental officer in the U.S. Navy reaching the rank of lieutenant commander. After serving in Spain, the Navy returned him to own his back yard at Point Mugu, and from there he joined the doctors at Rosewood and became a full-time partner in 1998. He volunteers and teaches dentistry in Romania with an annual dental relief team. Dr. Packham serves the community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Camarillo YMCA, Young Athletes for Christ, the Ventura County Medical Resource Foundation, Camarillo Community Church, and Heart of Hope Ministries. He enjoys skiing, hiking, kayaking, and men’s softball. Dr. Packham is married to Roxanne, and they are the parents of two grown children.
Dr. Matt Pizza
Dr. Matthew Pizza was raised in Camarillo and attended Rio Mesa High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree at UC San Diego, and his dental degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. He spent two years in residency; one year at the VA at Penn, and one year at the VA at UCLA. He returned to Camarillo in 1998 and became a full time partner at Rosewood in 1999. He volunteers his time as a track coach at Rio Mesa and as a youth soccer coach and referee. He enjoys soccer, golf, paddle surfing, and cycling. He recently ran for the U.S. at the Masters Track and Field World Championships, earning All-American honors. He is married to Dr. Sham Pizza, and together they are raising four children here in his hometown.
Dr. Sham Pizza
Dr. Sham Pizza, Southern California native, has been practicing orthodontics in Camarillo for over a decade. She and husband Dr. Matt Pizza met in college at the University of California, San Diego. After completing dental school at Temple University School of Dentistry, she then went on to UCLA where she received her specialty training in orthodontics. Dr. Sham Pizza enjoys supporting her four children in their many activities, as well as art, digital photography, and baking glamorous cookies.
